We are seeking an individual with strong working knowledge of website development and application program interface (API) technologies
Connecting Health Innovations LLC (CHI) is a spinoff company from the University of South Carolina (USC). Its current purpose is to improve public health and clinical outcomes by increasing availability of products based on the Dietary Inflammatory Index (DII®), which was invented in the Arnold School of Public Health at USC. With over 250 publications and 3000 citations during the last 52 months, the DII has become one of the most successful innovations in biomedicine in the past couple of decades. Now, the challenge is to translate this academic success into public health and clinical medicine results that really matter.
In order to move products to the marketplace, CHI is looking for an individual with strong working knowledge of website development and application program interface (API) technologies. This individual should be willing to learn the rudiments of our business and our USC-based research, which focuses on control of diet-associated inflammation. The successful individual will have familiarity in working on Microsoft platforms and with these specific tools and programming languages:
- ASP.net scripting knowledge (including knowledge of VB script or C#.)
- PHP scripting language
- Familiarity with Python, Ruby, .NET, Java would be desirable.
Because of the flow of work, we would like the individual to work on an hourly basis and be flexible with respect to amount of time committed. We would be willing to adapt to the ebb and flow of academic schedules. We anticipate that we can commit up to 20 hours per week. We are willing to provide compensation commensurate with experience.
