Minimum Requirements : Minimum bachelors degree in Computer Science, GIS or related field with at least 5 years of programming experience.

Must have demonstrated knowledge of software development life cycle methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, RUP); the ability to develop software requirements documents; knowledge of ESRI GIS Software (ArcGIS Server, ArcSDE, ArcIMS; knowledge of GIS application development in ESRI environment; and a high level of competency in computer programming.

Candidate should have excellent oral presentation and writing skills with the ability to lead team collaboration and brainstorming sessions. Should also be able to lead a team of software developers and meet deadlines as well as the capability to assess team strategy and develop action plans. Must be a motivated, self-starter who can work under pressure and can coordinate and prioritize work schedules.

This position will be part of an Information Technology Services group that offers a variety of services related to other URS business practices. The IT group designs and implements geospatial applications, environmental management information systems, and other database applications for clients in the public and private sector. Current staff includes developers, DBAs, analysts and technical writers.

Successful candidate will assemble project teams and guide the development of custom GIS software products. This position is responsible for leading a team in developing design documents and specifications, and envisioning projects. as well as meeting milestones and objectives of GIS projects.
