Own all phases of the SDLC methodology from project initiation to closure.

Lead all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle for custom developed java applications including requirements gathering and analysis, solution design, development, unit, system and quality assurance testing and support. Lead small, diverse teams that include business subject experts, application developers, architecture and infrastructure engineers. Collaborate with technology leadership to assess impact of enterprise infrastructure and platforms and validate solution design for all major system enhancements and project initiatives. Develop clear and thorough documentation associated with each phase of the SLDC that adhere to compliance and regulatory requirements. Participate in the development of enhancement and maintenance solutions for new and existing Java-based applications. Partner with DBAs to develop of new, highly efficient database structures that optimizes data access and information management. Participate in a cyclical operational support rotation and assist in the resolution of retail and customer process and system issues.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field of study 5 plus years of experience in analysis, design, and development of Java-based solutions for large scale web applications using service oriented architecture. Demonstrable knowledge of relational databases and strong experience with complex SQL statements. Specific experience with MS SQL strongly considered and experience with DB2 a plus. Must have demonstrable experience with Java development IDEs such as Spring STS or Eclipse and application servers such as Tomcat, SpringSource's tcServer, or WebLogic. Must have experience with web application toolsets such as Hibernate and Spring. Required to have strong verbal communication skills that includes the ability to facilitate business and technology meetings. Demonstrable technical documentation skills to that captures detail design specifications and technology decisions. Familiarity with software development methodologies such as RUP. Retail experience is a plus. Working knowledge of MS Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Visio. Equal Opportunity Employer/Contractor.
