COLUMBIA– A city better known for its Southern roots than its Silicon Valley ambitions is emerging as one of the nation's fastest-growing areas for coding.

Online coding platform Coddy Tech recently named Columbia the nation's sixth-fastest-rising coding metropolitan area. The study analyzed the 75 largest U.S. metros and ranked them based on coding momentum.

Columbia’s momentum score of 65 was calculated using a methodology that factored in coding-related search interest, GitHub developer density, software developer employment and job growth, bootcamp interest, and hackathon activity.  Read full article here.
