Job Duties: • Use agile methodologies to develop, test, debug and integrate user-facing software solutions on a variety of target hardware platforms • Work closely with product designers to define and refine functional requirements • Research and apply appropriate solutions to open-ended technical problems

Desktop Application Developer:

Required: • Proficiency in Java (or transferable OO language experience) • Ability to apply software design patterns and architecture best practices • Experience building large applications with rich interfaces using one or more UI frameworks (e.g. Swing) • Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics

Nice-to-have: • 2D and/or 3D graphics development experience • An interest in HCI concepts such as user-centered design • Experience with mapping and GIS technologies (ESRI ArcGIS, Google Earth/Maps, KML, etc) • Working knowledge of statistics, pattern detection, and/or artificial intelligence • Masters degree

Web Application and Framework Developer:

Required: • Proficiency in desktop-class web application development including client- (JavaScript, CSS, HTML) and server-side (Java) components • Experience with web services including SOAP, REST, AtomPub, and RPC protocols and associated development frameworks (JAX-WS, JAX-RS, Restlet, etc) • Experience testing web applications (JSUnit, Selenium, etc) • Solid software engineering skills including design patterns and modular system design • Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics

Nice-to-have: • Experience with OpenSocial and Apache Shindig • Modular, extensible API / library design experience • Experience with HTML5 Canvas, SVG, web maps, and other web-based visualization technologies • Solid understanding of web application security concerns • Experience with GWT, ExtJS, jQuery, or others • Masters degree


Responsibilities: • Provide GIS-related development services and general guidance to teams on a variety of different projects • Use agile processes to develop, test, and debug software solutions leveraging a range of proprietary, commercial, and open source GIS toolkits • Find and apply appropriate solutions to open-ended technical problems

Required Skills & Experience: • Java, .NET or C++ experience • In-depth knowledge of GIS theory and practice from both a client and server perspective • Experience developing software using ESRI toolkits (or equivalent) • Ability to mentor developers with limited GIS domain knowledge • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Candidate to have a Masters or higher degree in GIS Computer Science. • 2 to 5 yrs experience ideal.

We are seeking a seasoned PROGRAM MANAGER

Responsibilities For a relatively mature program, the successful candidate will manage deliverables within budget and schedule, in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will provide customer, team and program leadership:

Customer • Act as the principal customer interface on program matters • Build customer relationships, track customer requirements, and understand customer needs • Identify, qualify and propose new projects to customers. Actively solicit follow-on business Program • Manage all program obligations from administering complex projects/programs, to analysis, design, development and maintenance • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define project requirements and technical solutions • Plan and schedule project deliverables, goals and milestones • Design and maintain technical and project documentation with customers • Define resource plans and schedule for project/program implementation • Create strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning • Efficiently identify and solve project issues • Set and manage software quality program to meet customer requirements Team • Direct and oversee project engineering teams. Coordinate management and technical decisions, while effectively arbitrating and resolving problems associated with products and projects • Collaborate with Oculus technical leaders • Identify, develop and encourage talent. Provide team assessments and evaluations

Required Skills & Experience • Demonstrated program management skills spanning defense, software product development, user interface design and development projects • Solid written, verbal and presentation communication skills • Some technical experience with GIS systems required • Be able to juggle multiple priorities • Strong organizational, presentation, interpersonal and customer communication skills • A bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or engineering. Masters degree a plus • Five years of relevant program management experience and in a managerial role • Must be able to travel 10 to 20% of the time • PMP certification or equivalent preferred Ex-Army or military officer or military experience
