Due to a sudden and unexpected retirement, the UNCG Department of Computer Science has an immediate opening for a full-time Visiting Assistant Professor for the 2018-19 academic year. Candidates will be teaching some master's level and upper-level undergraduate classes, so must have either earned their Ph.D. or be completing a Ph.D. program shortly (defending in a month or two). Ideally we would like a candidate who has sufficient theory and algorithms background to cover the courses the retiring faculty member was scheduled to teach, but we are open to exploring the possibility of shifting our schedule around to accommodate other areas of expertise. We must fill the position very quickly (within a week or two), so interested parties should email Prof. Steve Tate at srtate@uncg.edu as soon as possible. For a formal application we will need a CV and names of three references, but if this isn't immediately available then we encourage interested candidates to send an informal email immediately to let us know of your interest. -- Steve Tate Head, Dept of Computer Science University of North Carolina at Greensboro
