Architects define solutions and architectures to address client business requirements and technical needs. They work in levels of abstraction, applying industry knowledge, and leveraging appropriate technology information. They develop, test, and present client solutions, which may involve various technologies, services, and architectural styles and domains.
Architect Trainees are required to be located in Dallas, TX their first year. Following the training period they will be relocated to their permanent work location where they will be consulting with clients of all sizes leveraging their
technical expertise to assist sales counterparts in maintaining client satisfaction and attaining revenue.
Candidates for this position should have experience in one or more Applications & Integration Middleware (AIM) based software product areas. Examples include mainstream AIM software, such as those from IBM, Microsoft, and Tibco.
Position includes business and technical understanding of solutions, technical solution design, and development, test, and client presentations. Candidate must excel at both working independently as well as in a group/team setting. Analyzing and solving problems will be crucial to success.
Communication and presentation skills are essential.
The first twelve months of this dynamic position will consist of sales and technical training to enable you to link the technical capabilities of IBM offerings to client requirements. A considerable amount of travel is required
during the twelve month training period. Architect Trainees are required to be located in Dallas, TX their first year. Additional training cities could include Raleigh, New York, Washington DC, Atlanta, and Chicago. Following the training period you will be relocated to your permanent work location where you will be consulting with clients of all sizes leveraging your technical expertise to assist your sales counterparts in maintaining client satisfaction and attaining revenue.

BS / MS in: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent degree areas Experience in Application & Integration Middleware (AIM)-based software product areas, C/C++, and Java programming PLUS: Knowledge of portal, user experience design, analytics, business process management (BPM), service-oriented architecture (SOA) and/or a particular industry (i.e. retail, banking, media/entertainment, healthcare, electronics).
Duration of Training: up to 12 months
