This club was motivated by a course organize by Dr. Gatzke and Joy Watson in the summer of 2010 called "Graduate Student as Leader."



The course itself was part of a NSF grant, "Creating Industry-Ready PhD Graduates," Jed Lyons PI.



Originally, non-native English speaking students were a focus for the group, but everyone can work to develop additional leadership and communication skills.
