CATNs (Coupled Augmented Transition Networks)

CATNAgentToolkit is a new approach to agent construction in the sense that it emphasizes the design and modeling agent construction phase and makes the programming phase straightforward by interpreting the representation built in the first one. The toolkit is essentially an add-on for FIPA-OS, an existing platform for constructing FIPA-compliant agents which consists of a component-oriented open source implementation of the mandatory elements contained in the FIPA specifications for agent interoperability. CATNAgentToolkit provides the ability to execute agents that have been modeled using the Coupled ATNs (CATNs) formalism which allows to represent the agents’ actions and interactions. The agents created using the toolkit are often referred as CATN Agents.
