Procedure: All
tenured and tenure-track faculty members in the Department of Computer Science
and Engineering are reviewed periodically for retention on the

Promotion Committee routinely assesses each faculty member’s accomplishments
relative to the research and graduate teaching components of the T&P
criteria. A positive review by a
majority of the T&P committee is needed for retention on the
A person receiving a negative recommendation may request the
T&P Committee to reconsider its recommendation by providing additional
documentary evidence. The final decision
to retain or deny a request for retention on the Graduate School Faculty rests
with the Graduate Dean in consultation with the Graduate Council. Appeals of decisions to deny membership on
the Graduate Faculty may be made to the Membership Committee of the Graduate
Council. Persons who have been denied
membership on the
