| I am a Research Assistant to Dr.Song Wang in the Computer Vision Lab at the University of South Carolina. My research is
focused on statistical shape analysis and medical image processing.
This includes shape correspondence, and the
construction of statistical shape models used for image segmentation. Prior to joining the computer vision lab at USC, from 2000-2006 I was an engineer at Scientific Research Corporation, and from 1994-2000 I was a Lieutenant in the United States Navy. In 1994 I received a bachelors degree in electrical engineering from Michigan State University, and in 2004 I received a masters degree in electrical engineering from Clemson University. When I'm not spending time doing research, which is almost never, I enjoy traveling. Over the last 15-years I've had the privilege to visit countries like France, Germany, Hungary, Turkey, Czechoslovakia, Greece, Spain, Estonia, Israel, and Bahrain. But probably my favorite was Italy, specifically the Tuscany region. I recently became a father to a baby girl named Abbylee Irene Munsell. Abbylee was born July 9th 2007, her birth weight was 8lbs 8oz. and height approx. 23 inches. At birth, Abbylee was diagnosed with persistent pulmonary hypertension and transfered to MUSC childrens hospital. Due the the fantastic physicians and nurses in neonatal intensive care unit - today she is a vibrant and healthy 1 year old little girl. I ask you to please visit this website, make a difference, every donation does count. Lastly, this website is always a work in progress - so my apologies for any inconvenience. |
