Assignments

For each week, you will need to have the listed assignments completed and submitted by midnight on the listed date. The questions I have listed for each chapter are not to be turned in, they are suggested as good practice. Each week you will have a quiz also to be done by the end of the week. This will be adminstered by blackboard.

Week 1 (ending January 20th):

Screencasts for Week 1(These are from my online class. I figured they might be helpful. You can ignore the "intro" one as none of that really applies to y'all).

Basics of Web Design: Read Chapter 1-2 in text.
      Questions: p22-23 Review 1-10; p48-49 Review 1-10, Hands on 1-5.

Lab 1 [Posted on blackboard under assignments] This lab will be due Sunday, January 22nd at midnight (submitted to blackboard). Please do not wait until the last minute. The blackboard system will not accept anything past midnight. After this lab, labs will be due the Friday before class. I gave the extra time to work out any problems for the first lab.

We will have a quiz on the 21st covering the first weeks material.

Week 2 (ending January 27th):

      Questions: p64-65 Review 1-10, hands on 1-5; p94 Review 1-10.

Quiz 1 will be due by January 27th at midnight. Please make sure you leave plenty of time for your lab and to finish your quiz. It is also posted on blackboard.

Quiz 4 is a bit different. It is up under assignments on blackboard. You will submit a web page (in a zip file) for this one.

Quiz 6 is posted on blackboard. I would like you to create a "resume" type page for your self. One page, with all the usual stuff you'd expect to see on a resume. I would also like you to style the page. Make it look nice and professional looking. If you need to know what commonly goes in a resume, check online for resources.

Reminder: Final project posted on blackboard. It will be due Sunday, April 22nd by midnight.

Final exam will be April 28th at 12:30pm. Do not be late for the final. We only have an hour allocated for the room and must arrive and leave promptly.
