Advisement Information

This page provides information on advisement registration and graduation processes.

Advisement Each semester before you can register you need to be advised. This process includes selecting your courses for the next semester, but also should include filling out a program of study as soon as possible.

Program of Study The program of study is the plan that you have for satisfying the degree requirements for the program in which you are enrolled. After April 1, 2008 you must fill out one of the "online" PDF forms and have it signed, Masters and Certificate Program of Study. or PhD. Program of Study. The examples below are partially filled out and indicate some of the lines for the required courses.

Other Documents

Note on this form you list all the courses you will eventually take to satisfy your degree requirements. There are two mistakes that are frequently made when these are initially submitted:
  1. you list only the course already taken,
  2. you list more courses than you need.

Preregistration/Registration For Spring 2008 preregistration for Graduate Students currently enrolled begins November 6. Before you do this you need to have your advisement-hold cleared by submitting a "Progress Report."
