    9/3/99
  • Okay, here's the scoop on the recitations -- please disregard all that I've told you about them up until now.

I've put in a reservation for the lab in Forbes Quad classroom #2 for the following days:
    Monday, September 137:30-8:20
    Wednesday, September 157:30-8:20
    Monday, September 207:30-8:20
    Wednesday, September 227:30-8:20
    Monday, September 277:30-8:20
    Wednesday, September 297:30-8:20
    Monday, October 47:30-8:20

    Wednesday, October 207:30-8:20

I'm not sure if we'll be utilizing all those days, but I want them reserved for us. In the first lab/recitation I'll have the use of the UNIX compiler and DOS/MacOS interpreter covered.

    9/2/99
  • There is a quiz over chapter 1 next Wednesday, Sept 8. Study the lecture notes that I passed out and you'll do fine!
  • There was some confusion about the recitations. I had originally planned to only have Wednesday recitations and to have them in the lab (so both Monday people and Wednesday people would go to Wednesday's recitation). Unfortunately, it can't work out that way because the labs only hold 25 people. Once I figure something out, I'll post it here. I'll probably have recitations both days, or just never have them. But in any case, I'll let you know what's going on in class.I apologize for the confusion.
