Directions to USC*
I-20 West from Florence, SC
Turn off at SC 277 (Exit 73) toward Columbia. Stay on this freeway
which becomes Bull Street. Follow Bull Street until it intersects
with Pendleton Street. Turn right and proceed four blocks to Assembly
Street. Turn left and the Visitor Center will be on your immediate right.
I-20 East from Augusta, SC
Turn off at Exit 58 (US 1 toward West Columbia) and stay on this
highway which becomes Meeting Street and then becomes Gervais Street
after you cross the Congaree River. Turn right onto Assembly Street
at the South Carolina State Capitol. The Visitor Center will be on your
right at the second traffic light.
I-26 East from Spartanburg, SC
Follow US-126/76 toward downtown Columbia and exit at Elmwood Avenue.
Turn right onto Assembly Street and continue for 11 blocks until you
see the Visitor Center on your right just past Pendleton Street.
I-26 West from Charleston, SC
Take the exit 111-B (US 1) and continue until you see the Congaree River.
The street name changes from Meeting Street to Gervais Street. Proceed
several blocks. At the South Carolina State Capitol, turn right onto
Assembly Street. The Visitor Center is 2 blocks on your right, just
past Pendleton Street.
US 76/378 from Sumter
US 76/378 will change from Sumter Highway to Garners Ferry Road to
Devine Street. Devine will intersect with Harden Street at Five
Points. Turn left onto Harden Street and take the next right onto
Blossom Street. Turn right at the 6th stoplight onto Assembly Street.
The Visitor Center will be 4 blocks ahead on your left.
I-77 from Charlotte
Exit onto SC 277 toward Columbia. Stay on this freeway which becomes
Bull Street. Follow Bull Street until it intersects with Pendleton
Street. Turn right and proceed four blocks to Assembly Street. Turn
left, and the Visitor Center will be on your immediate right.
For complimentary visitor parking, pull under the Center's portico
entrance, walk in the front doors and a staff member at the front
desk will be happy to assist you.
Directions to CSE
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering is located in
Swearingen Engineering Center, located on the corner of South Main and
Catawba Street.
