Need to have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field or Two-year degree in Computer Science or a related field, plus completion of an approved certification program related to the specific ELT program, or one year of related experience
Preferred Education:
- Minimum G.P.A. of 3.0, prefer 3.2, in Computer Science or a related degree field
Tracks:
- Application Development: Designed to prepare entry-level computer programmers for a career in enterprise server (mainframe) or object-oriented programming, as practiced in BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina's Information Systems (IS) division.
- Systems Support (mainframe and non-mainframe): Designed to prepare entry-level technicians for a career in Web systems support, mainframe and server support as practiced in BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina's Information Systems (IS) division. In addition, graduates must achieve these industry certifications prior to graduation: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+
- Network Infrastructure: Designed to prepare entry-level technicians for a career in network management, server management and telecommunications, as practiced in BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina's Information Systems (IS) division. In addition, graduates must achieve these industry certifications prior to graduation: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+
- Systems Programming: Designed to prepare graduates for a career in mainframe and non-mainframe systems programming as practiced in BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina's Information Systems (IS) division.
