NCR Chaired Professorship
Computer Science and Engineering

Applications are invited for the prestigious NCR Chair in Computer Science and Engineering. Candidates should hold a doctorate in computer science, computer engineering, or a closely related discipline. Candidates in any research area will be considered, although a preference exists for computer architecture. The University of South Carolina is especially interested in attracting a distinguished researcher who enjoys national and international recognition. The NCR Chair holder will be expected to establish a strong and vigorous research program in the department. This chaired professorship includes discretionary funds in addition to a competitive salary. The holder of the chair will have the opportunity to collaborate with the emerging technology companies in the greater southeast region.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering is in the College of Engineering and Information Technology and offers BE, BS, ME, MS, and Ph.D. degrees to about 650 undergraduate majors and 175 graduate students. The University of South Carolina is located in South Carolina's capital and technology center and is the comprehensive graduate institution in the state, with an enrollment of more than 22,000 students.
