Education

July 2004 Ph.D., Computer Science, University of New Mexico

May 2002 M.S., Computer Science, University of New Mexico

June 1996 M.S., Offshore Engineering, Tianjin University, China

June 1994 B.S., Naval Architecture, Tianjin University, China

Research Interests

Algorithm development and high performance computing, with emphasis on phylogenetic analysis from genome rearrangement and sequence data. My other research interest is medical image processing. I am also interested in computer game development, but mainly focused on teaching. It is possible that I will later develop educational games for computational biology.
