Current Work

Since April, 2005, I have organized and delivered an extended Java Boot Camp for the USC University Technology Services (UTS) Administrative Information Services (AIS) group.

The program covered the Java programming language, Enterprise application development using JSP, Struts, Spring and Hibernate, and an extensive project drawn from real systems needs at the University. This program was developed in support of the planned implementation of the One Carolina ERP system acquisition. Additional training support was provided by GraySail, LLC.

Research

From August 2002 - April 2005, I held an appointment as a Senior Research Fellow at the Center for Health Services and Policy Research of the Norman J. Arnold School of Public Health at USC. There I conducted primary research in the area of health care applications of the public Internet especially in the use of health services research.

During that period I was also a co-organizer (with John Woods) of the South Carolina Pay-for-Performance Forum
